Youth Shooting Sports

CSC’s Youth Shooting Sports Programs are firearms safety education and marksmanship programs that encompass the basic elements of safety, education, enjoyment and competition.

Who Can Participate?

Youth ages 10-17, male and female, can participate. Physical ability and size are no match for mental toughness and discipline in this co-ed skill sport. CSC’s Youth Program is typically limited to 20-24 participants per cycle.

Why Shooting Sports?

Participants will gain knowledge of firearm safety techniques. They will develop responsibility, confidence and self-reliance, as well as a skill they can enjoy and hone throughout their life.

How Much Does It Cost?

There is no cost to participate in the CSC Youth Shooting Sports Program. Parent/guardian membership is not required, but encouraged to promote the sport.

As a follow up to our Youth Rifle Program, the kickoff for Youth Archery is a safety course which will be held at the range. This meeting is an introductory and safety course; parents/guardians must accompany their children. This event is mandatory for all youth members before participating in future events.

This is a free league open to children from ages 10 to 17, and the club will provide bows, arrows, targets and other related equipment for your child to use. If he/she would like to use their own bow, it must be inspected by a club/safety officer on-site on the first day of activities (April 7th).

Remaining dates for this year’s activities are as follows:

Archery – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • April 7th – Kickoff orientation/mandatory safety presentation and start shooting
  • April 14th
  • April 21st
  • April 28th
  • May 5th – Final competition with prizes for our top archers and pizza party for both the kids and parents!

Youth Trap – Upcoming dates for Sept/Oct start will be announced soon

As we are limited to 24 total archers, please indicate your interest ASAP by signing up at the following:
