Federal Firearms Licensed Transfers

Over the past few years we have, unfortunately, seen more and more of our 2nd Amendment rights eroded; we have seen several smaller gun shops close their doors, county-specific laws targeting firearms commerce (in violation of Florida preemption laws), and new waiting periods. With that said, to help ensure that we are doing everything we can to support shooting sports, the range has worked with the ATF over the last several months to obtain an Federal Firearms License (FFL) and Special Occupancy Tax Certificate (SOT). What does that mean to you? Effective immediately, if you purchase a firearm online through a retailer or auction site like Gun Broker, you can legally have it shipped to the range! ALL STATE and FEDERAL LAWS APPLY, BACKGROUND CHECKS MUST AND WILL BE PERFORMED ON ALL SALES WE PROCESS. 

So how does it work and what are the costs? 

If you buy from big retailers like Classic Guns, Buds, Grab-A-Gun, or Gun Broker, you will find Chuluota Sportsmen’s Club listed as a shipping option during the checkout process. Simply select us.


The next part is important… Forward all information related to the sale and shipping to FFL.CSC@gmail.com so that we can be prepared to receive your firearm. 


What if you are buying from a smaller company with whom we are not currently listed? Easy! Either before you complete the purchase or after, send us a note to FFL.CSC@gmail.com with details so that we can transmit our FFL information to the seller and they can complete the shipping. 

Cost: 
For active members:

  • Inbound Transfers – Contact us at FFL.CSC@gmail.com for member rates.
  • Private Sales – Member to member, member to non-member, non-member to member – $15.00* for the first firearm, and then $10.00* for each additional firearm on the same transfer. 

For past members and NON-Members**:

  • Inbound Transfers – The cost will be $30.00* per transfer of the first firearm, and then $25.00* for each additional firearm on the same transfer. 
  • Private Sales – Non-member to non-member – $30.00* for the first firearm, and then $25.00* for each additional firearm on the same transfer. 

*All prices reflect a 3% cash discount, other forms of payment such as a credit card do not receive the 3% cash discount.

**If a past member rejoins the club and pays annual dues at the time of the transfer, members prices will apply to that transfer. 

Remember, all state and federal laws related to waiting periods apply, so if you don’t have a Concealed Weapons Permit or current hunting license, it might be worth looking into. 

Pick Up: You will be contacted once the item has been received and checked-in. Please remember, waiting periods may apply if you don’t meet one of the exemption requirements.


At this time we are NOT supporting outbound transfers.


Also, at this time we are NOT going to be stocking an inventory of firearms. We encourage you to support some of our local shops that support us, including Powers Armament and The Armories. 


As we work through refining our process, there is the potential for changes. Also, these prices are subject to change based on volume and the amount of work effort involved.
