Youth Shooting Sports

Who Can Participate?

Youth ages 10-17, male and female, can participate. Physical ability and size are no match for mental toughness and discipline in this co-ed skill sport. CSC’s Youth Programs are typically limited to 20-24 participants per cycle.

Why Shooting Sports?

Participants will gain knowledge of firearm construction and safety techniques. They will develop responsibility, confidence and self-reliance, as well as a skill they can enjoy and hone throughout their life.

How Much Does It Cost?

There is no cost to participate in the CSC Youth Shooting Sports Programs. Parent/guardian membership is not required, but encouraged to promote the sport.

As a follow up to our other Youth Programs, the kickoff for Youth Rifle is a safety course which will be held at the range starting January 5th, 2025. The first meeting is an introductory and safety course; parents/guardians must accompany their children. This event is mandatory for all youth members before participating in this event.

This is a free league open to children from ages 10 to 17, and the club will provide rifles, ammunition, targets, eye/ear protection and other related equipment for your child to use. If he/she would like to use their own rifle, it must be chambered in .22 LR caliber, and will be inspected by a club/safety officer on-site on the first day of activities (January 5th).

Dates for this year’s activities are as follows:

Youth Rifle – 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

• January 5th – Kickoff orientation/mandatory safety presentation and start shooting
• January 12th
• January 26th
• February 2nd
• February 16th
• February 23rd – Final competition with prizes for our top shooters and pizza party for both the kids and parents!
